So since the 2009 season is about to start up, I though I would make my final 53 man roster. The final cut's are on September 5.The O:
Quarterbacks - (3): Jason Campbell, Todd Collins, Colt Brennan. First Cut: Chase Daniel.
No real surprise here, as much as Chase Daniel played great, Colt has a year under his belt.
Running/Full Backs - (4): Clinton Portis, Ladell Betts, Marcus Mason, Mike Sellers. First Cut: Rock Cartwright.
Yes, Marcus Mason is making the team! I know Cartwright is a great Special Team's man, but he's not the greatest runner. Mason is though, all he has to work on is his Special Team's play. He is also a great 3rd down runner, and we need someone to lay the load off Portis. I just hope he makes it!

Wide Receivers - (5): Santana Moss, Antwaan Randle El, Devin Thomas, Malcolm Kelly, Marko Mitchell. First off: Marques Hagans.
Ive been set on Mitchell since day one, so no surprise here for me. He's got the size and the speed to be a great red zone threat, something we didn't have last year. And hopefully are other two Wide outs can catch some balls. He's also been great in preseason.
Tight Ends - (3): Chris Cooley, Fred Davis, Todd Yoder. First off: Robert Agnone
Nothing new here, and who's Robert Agnone? Just the same from last year.
Offensive Line - (9): Chris Samuels, Derrick Dockery, Casey Rabach, Randy Thomas, Stephon Heyer, Jeremy Bridges, Chad Reinhart, Devin Clark, Edwin Williams. First off: Mike Williams.
I'm sure they would like to sign Mike Williams, but I'm also sure they want him to get another year to get ready. If there's any spot we need the depth at, it's for sure this spot.
The D:
Defensive Line - (10): Phillip Daniels, Albert Haynesworth, Cornelius Griffin, Andre Carter, Kedric Golston, Anthony Montgomery, Chris Wilson, Jeremy Jarmon, Lorenzo Alexander, Rob Jackson. Last off: Renaldo Wynn, Alex Buzbee.
Basically this is the most talked about spot. We have
to have a lot of depth here, because last year we lost a lot of guys to injury. I have a strong feeling Jeremy Jarmon will make the squad and Renaldo Wynn will not. Everybody else is pretty much a lock, it's just down to those two guys.
Linebackers - (7): Rocky McIntosh, London Fletcher, Brian Orakpo, H. B. Blades, Robert Henson, Robert Thomas, Cody Glenn. Last off: Alfred Fincher
Well the LB are pretty much set, Alfred Fincher has officially been cut today. So if they only plan on keeping less then 6, this looks like the finally.
Defensive Backs - (9): DeAngelo Hall, Carlos Rogers, Fred Smoot, LaRon Landry, Chris Horton, Kevin Barnes, Justin Tryon, Kareem Moore, Reed Doughty. Last off: Byron Westbrook
As a group they haven’t looked all that good in preseason, giving up a lot of third and long completions despite a good pass rush. As a result, many of the backups have looked shaky from time to time so it’s hard to say that any of them have locked down a roster spot. Still, there doesn’t seem to be any reason to change from the original group.
Specialist - (3): Ethan Albright, Hunter Smith, Shaun Suisham. Last off: Dave Rayner.
Man, as much as I would like to see Suisham go, there hasn't been many field goals to really compare the two. That's why Susham make's the squad. I pray for Rayner though, I mean how much worst can you get?
