Wale - Back to the Feature Mixtape Review

So Wale's new Mixtape Back to the Feature came out today and I have gave it two spins on the computer. I have to say this tape goes very hard and if you haven't heard it yet I highly suggest you do. Wale is one of my favorite artist right now, and he really hasn't let me down yet and he came strong on this tape. He's a different rapper, he raps about life and things that everyday people can relate to. He has lyrical talent unlike other rappers now days. If you haven't heard of Wale that's cool. I am going to give an in depth review of the Mixtape.

Track 1: Wordplay f. Currensy & Tre
This track was leaked a couple months ago. Anyways, this track has a feeling of great rhymes and not so great beat. Even though the beat goes well with the song, just not what a lot of people like. I think Wale was trying to tell people I can rap about anything just listen up. I also think Curreensy & Tre both went hard on this track, their flow went perfect with the beat.

Track 2: Cyphr f. Young Chris, Freeway & Beanie Sigel
This track is just what it says a Cyphr. Wale, Young Chris, Freeway & Beanie Sigel go back and fourth at each other. Great Ryhmes again on this one, just a good listen!

Track 3: Chillin (Catch vs 9th) f. Lady Gaga

I think most people have heard this song by now, It's his first single off his upcoming ALBUM. But beging Wale, he didn't put the orignal versen on here. Instead he added a 9th Wonder and Catch versen. I think this better then the orignal.

Track 4: Tito Santana f. Joe Budden
This is a nice chill song, the beat is very smooth and Joe Budden kills it. While listening to the Wale verse make sure you listen carefully he really goes off. Just pay attention!

Track 5: 5 Minutes f. Skyzoo

"This is only for the Hip-Hop lovers! You want that bullshit, turn the radio on" Wale basically sums up this track with those two lines. I mean I believe this might be Wale best lyricaly best track on the tape. LISTEN!

Track 6: Life's A Bitch f. Talib Kweli & Joell Ortiz
Life's a bitch, there ain't no more to say about this track.

Track 7: Night Life f. Young Chris & Tre

This is a very chill song, I can see myself riding down the street with the windows down on a summer night blasting this song. Just a very chill song for, "Fast Money, Fast Cars, And Flasing Lights".

Track 8: Sweatin Out Weaves f. UCB
Sweatin Out Ya Weaves, Doing Her Thing, I Care About You, But Not Ya Wedding Ring! LISTEN!

Track 9: Hot Shyt f. Peedi Peedi, Black Thought, Tu Phace & Young Chris
You want that Hot Shyt? Just listen to this track, talking about them hot rhymes and laying them down. Flip that, and there talking about that WEED!! This song also leaked a while ago.

Track 10: Wonder Why f. Big Sean, Ken Starr & Mike Posner
Rapping about putting in time and you having people wondering why. If you heard it you know!

Track 11: Pot Of Gold f. Daniel Merriweather
A track about having a Girl then letting her go. But she's so good like a Pot of Gold and you can't let her go. Another chill song, you can listen to it and relate. LISTEN!

Track 12: Sharp f. Torae & Kingpin Slim
The beat is very smooth and Wale flows amazing over it. Just listen to what he's spittin on this one. You will be like DAMN!! Talk Sharp like a Razor Under the Toung!

Track 13: Warwick Avenue f. Duffy
It's Warwick Avenue!!! Oh, you don't know? Well give this song a listen, song about a girl, so another chill beat.

Track 14: The Sun f. Memphis Bleek
This song has the line I twitted about, "The Sun is in the sky, but I refuse to smile"

Track 15: Rather Be With You (Vagina Is For Lovers) f. J Cole & Currensy
Well this song already has J Cole & Currensy on it so you know it's hot. This track is about having a girl, but you rather be with that other girl. I think a lot of people can relate to this song. People always cheating now days right? LISTEN!

Track 16: Goodbye f. Jean Grae

This is Wale's break up song. No more need to be said.

Track 17: Say It Again f. Royce Da 5'9

Another one of my favorite tracks of the Tape. "Say it Again!"

Track 18: Talkin Shyt f. Bub B & Dre
One of my favorite tracks on the tape, I twitted about it too. The beating is great and the go off on this track. Cool & Dre no what they doing, Bun B never lets me done, he killed it. VERY HOT SONG!

Track 19: Nothing To Worry About f. Peter, Bjorn & John

"You got nothing to worry about this song is a bangger! Wale is telling you he goes 100 on every track, so you got nothing to worry about!

Track 20: Rhyme N Reason f. Tre

Talking about having a hard time and trying to tell girls if you listen you would get my Rhyme N Reason. LISTEN!

Track 21: Um Ricka f. K'Naan

Sounds like an afican song to me. About his life. LISTEN!

Track 22: New Soul f. Yael Naim

VERY HOT HOOK! The Beat it also great. Wale is talking about how he is hyped up to be great. LISTEN!

Yeah, so it might now be the best review of a Mixtape you ever read. That's because this is my first and last review. It's not for me, but if you gave it a read thanks, it took me some time. If you could comment below that would be great and let me and everybody else know what you though of the tape.
